CPC & Google Adwords

CPC & CPM -  Search Engine Advertising

Paid advertising on Search Engines allows you to get the link to your site at the top of the search list, without waiting for for the natural rankings to improve.

There are two basic payment models:
  • per impression, or every time the ad is shown, called CPM (actually per 1000 impressions)
  • per click, every time someone clicks the ad, called PPC or CPC

CPC campaigns should target the search engines most popular with your target market. Google.co.nz is the most popular search engine in New Zealand*.

Google Adwords CPC

Google CPC campaigns allow you to control what you spend per day.
Your account is charged only when searchers click on your ad. Some of the benefits are:

  • Ads can be adjusted at any time during the campaign. Ads can be changed, paused, or the cost adjusted, as suits the market or the season.
  • Campaigns can be any length, so we can run short campaigns to test keywords or to target dates or events.
  • Ads which are clicked on more often are recorded and can be served more frequently.
  • AdWords results integrate well with Google analytics, giving a clear picture of performance.
